The technical layer behind your ministry
Make your church’s digital tools work together.
Your website, Planning Center, forms, giving, email, registrations, and ministry workflows should not create more administrative work.
MinistryLayer fixes the broken handoffs between the systems your church already has and keeps them running, so staff spend less time repeating themselves. It does not ask you to adopt another platform.
No new software, and nothing to install on site.
Your church probably does not need another app.
You already have tools: Planning Center or Church Center, a website, online giving, Google Workspace, email, forms, event registrations, YouTube, volunteer scheduling, and perhaps several others.
The problem is what happens between them.
- Someone copies information from one system into another.
- A form submission reaches the wrong inbox or relies on one person noticing it.
- An event gets updated in one place but not another.
- Staff maintain duplicate lists or records.
- Nobody is quite sure which system is the source of truth.
- A workflow depends on the one volunteer who remembers how it works.
- Church Center can do more, but nobody has had time to finish setting it up.
These are small problems individually. Together they create hours of unnecessary work and plenty of opportunities for things to fall through the cracks.
That is the layer we handle.
MinistryLayer provides remote technical help for the digital systems your ministry already uses.
- Website & digital maintenance
- Broken pages, forms, embeds, calendars, sermon archives, integrations, and recurring technical issues.
- Planning Center / Church Center
- Configuration, cleanup, migrations, workflow improvement, forms, registrations, and member-facing setup.
- Forms & registrations
- Connect prayer requests, newcomer forms, volunteers, events, and other submissions to the right people and systems.
- Workflow automation
- Reduce repetitive work with sensible notifications, follow-up, and data movement between systems.
- Google Workspace & email
- Improve shared inboxes, forms, spreadsheets, permissions, documents, and recurring staff workflows.
- Systems cleanup
- Untangle overlapping tools, outdated processes, duplicate information, abandoned integrations, and fragile handoffs.
No rip-and-replace project.
We are not trying to sell you another church-management platform. If your church already uses Planning Center, WordPress, Squarespace, Tithely, Mailchimp, Google Workspace, Realm, Subsplash, or another existing system, the first question is simple:
How can we make what you already have work better?
Sometimes the answer is automation, sometimes just better configuration. Sometimes it means removing a tool you no longer need, or repairing something that quietly broke.
Start with a free Systems Friction Scan.
We review your church’s public-facing digital setup and identify several places where your systems may be creating unnecessary work, duplication, confusion, or maintenance overhead.
You receive a short, practical report showing what we noticed, why it may matter, and what we would investigate next.
- We never ask for logins or admin access.
- You get the scan without sitting through a sales call.
- Hiring us afterwards is entirely up to you.

If you want help fixing it
Systems Cleanup
A defined workflow, integration, configuration, or technical problem that needs to be fixed.
Ongoing Systems Support
Churches that need a reliable technical owner for recurring cloud-system and workflow work.
Larger development or migration projects are scoped separately. We agree on what is in scope before work begins.
When nobody on staff owns the systems.
MinistryLayer is designed for churches that are large enough to rely on several digital systems, but not large enough to employ a dedicated technology or ministry-systems specialist.
- Church Center is not fully configured.
- Forms do not talk cleanly to other systems.
- The website needs technical attention.
- Staff maintain the same information in several places.
- A recurring administrative process could be automated.
- Nobody knows who should own the integration that stopped working.
You should not need a full-time software engineer just because your digital tools do not cooperate.
What we do not handle
MinistryLayer works remotely, on cloud software and the connections between your systems. Anything that needs a person in the building, or a designer, belongs to somebody else.
So we do not take on:
- Sunday-morning AV emergencies
- Networking and Wi-Fi installation
- Printer and staff-computer repair
- Cameras and sound systems
- Graphic design and social media
We also do not offer cybersecurity or compliance guarantees, and we never ask for access to church bank accounts.
Technical help that understands ministry.
Church software has to hold things business software never does. A visitor form does not work like a sales lead. A prayer request may contain sensitive information. Volunteer workflows involve real people giving their time. Churches often rely on part-time staff and volunteers, and simplicity matters more than impressive technology.
MinistryLayer is built by a Christian software engineer with professional experience building and maintaining real-world software systems.
The goal is not to make your church more technological. The goal is to make technology require less of your attention.
Questions churches ask
Do we need to use Planning Center?
No. MinistryLayer can work with many common church and general-purpose platforms. Planning Center is simply one system we frequently expect to encounter.
Are you trying to replace our website or ChMS?
Usually not. We prefer improving the systems you already use when that makes sense.
Can you work with our existing website company?
Yes. MinistryLayer can handle systems and workflows alongside whoever manages design, hosting, communications, or marketing.
Do you need administrator access for the free scan?
No. The initial scan uses publicly visible information and anything you voluntarily tell us.
Can you build custom software?
For small technical needs, potentially. Larger custom-development projects are scoped separately.
Is this an IT help desk?
No. MinistryLayer focuses on websites, cloud software, integrations, forms, automations, and digital workflows, not physical or on-site IT.
